A Sound Mind was started to offer something different: ADHD care that’s thoughtful, trauma-informed, and rooted in relationship—not bureaucracy.
We’re a private telehealth practice serving kids, teens, and young adults. We operate outside the traditional insurance system so we can focus fully on you—without rushed visits, complicated billing, or long waits for specialty care.
Our cash-pay model allows us to keep care simple, accessible, and centered around what matters most: your story, your goals, and your mental wellness.

FAQ/Important Notes

1) We do not take or bill insurance, including Medicaid. We offer accessible pricing for personalized care. This allows us to give you the time and attention you deserve. We work for YOU - not your insurance company.2) At this time, we can treat patients in Oregon and Massachusetts. Soon: Washington.3) We primarily serve patients ages 21 and under. College students with proof of enrollment can be seen up to their 25th birthday (subject to clinician approval.)4) We’re best suited for patients with ADHD and related challenges. We do not treat severe mood disorders or complex psychiatric needs.5) A Sound Mind is not an emergency psychiatric service. We do not provide crisis care, after-hours support, or emergency evaluations. If you or your child is experiencing a mental health emergency—including thoughts of self-harm or harm to others—please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact a crisis line such as 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

Pricing Overview

Initial Evaluation: $350
- Full clinical intake.
- ADHD assessment.
- Diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Medication discussion (if appropriate.)
- School/work support recommendations.
Follow-up ADHD Appointments: $125
- Typically 20–30 minutes.
- For medication management, progress review, and treatment adjustments.
Extended ADHD Follow-Up – $175
- 45-minute session if more time is needed to address complex concerns.
ESA Letter Appointments: $100
- For patients seeking an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letter, we offer a focused 30-minute evaluation to determine appropriateness based on current symptoms and need.
- Includes written documentation if clinically indicated.
- Only available for existing patients or with brief intake.
Note: ESA letters are valid for 1 year and can be renewed as needed.
Initial Anxiety-Only Appointments: $250
- Full clinical intake.
- Diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Medication discussion (if appropriate.)
- 45-minute virtual session.
- Includes lifestyle recommendations, tools, and (if appropriate) discussion of medication options.
- No ADHD evaluation required.
Follow-up Anxiety Appointments: $125
- Typically 20–30 minutes.
- For medication management, progress review, and treatment adjustments.
